Luton Islamic Centre serves a growing Muslim community in Luton. We are an active centre providing services for people from all backgrounds and ages. Among the activities LIC coordinates are special programs during the holy month of Ramadan which is traditionally the most busiest period for us in the whole year. Some of the programs include evening prayers (salatul taraweeh) for our congregation and a wide range of classes through out the day designed to give locals an opportunity to learn how to recite the holy Quran.

|Salary:||£10 per hour plus £75 weekly allowance|
The person selected for this position will be responsible for leading the Taraweeh Prayers during the month of Ramadan in 2019.
They will also be teaching Quran/Hifz through out the day and also will be required to attend charity events to promote the charity and its activities.
Develop Curriculum for various levels of Quran memorization program
Develop Curriculum to recite Quran with proper Tajweed and teach proper recitation
Perform administrative duties such as student evaluation, routine updates ofstudent progress and attendance.
Maintain good relationship consistent with Islamic and UK practices with parents,students, and co-workers.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Must have memorised the whole Quran and with a proven track record of leading the Taraweeh prayers during the month of Ramadan.
The ability to follow all Health & Safety and Child Protection procedures
Must be willing to undertake child safeguarding training.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong Islamic Character with good communication, organizational and leadership abilities
A strong understanding of Islamic etiquettes, manners, and appropriate behavior
Ability to relate well to youth, teenagers and adults
